Jefferson is a tv-actor (Loveboat,...).
Steve is an actor who loves to work on a stage. He isn't a real tv/movie guy He came from the theatre and now he is there again.

Let's just say both Steve and Jefferson have their comedic merits and leave it at that. I personally like both of their acting. Steve pokes fun of competition-driven bankers, while Jefferson just portrays the jobless type that leaches off of their life partner ...

I liked Steve better, but they were both great for the show. Did their jobs very well, made great characters
