Isn't this amazing? Nearly 8 years after the end (brutal assassination to be precise) of the show, we are still discussing so passionately about the Bundys and begging for the next DVD release by those penny-pinchers of Sony.
The world's most successful sitcom -and its fans- couldn't have been treated more unfairly. What's the truth really? Do they hate MWC or are they so indescribably miserable so as not to release an all-seasons DVD collection? Just to get rid of us!
Perhaps they will someday (February 2092) or, more likely, they never will. Regardless of the "abuse" though (as Miranda Vera Crouz would put it), "we are built to last" and we'll certainly keep on rockin'! Al, Peg, Kelly and Bud will always be in our hearts.

talking about the DVD's, it is sorely lacking a lot of things in comparison to other DVD's.
If you have something like the Simpsons DVD's you'll notice audio commentary on every single episode.
There isn't any audio commentary on these, and it would be great to hear things by the writers/actors on specific shows.
And now they don't even have the original theme music that I grew up with as a kid and I thank god that I have the first 2 seasons that have the actual theme song.
For such a crappy DVD (in comparison to other DVD's I have) they are certainly charging enough money. I'm paying the same amount for a Simpsons DVD as I am a MWC DVD and getting about half of the product.

But you have to think, that the Simpsons are still beeing produced. So of course they want to offer more to the fans.
And since the production/drawing team is the same it's easier to eg. make some comments to the episodes.
MWC is over for now... - hmm I better don't calculate
- and they never thought about selling the series on a DVD in production times. So they don't have things like directors comments,..
And of course nobody will do that afterwards. Or do you think Gary Cohen will think about every show, go to a recording studio and records his thoughts?
So we only can hope that we sometime - hopefully before 2092 - get some never aired stuff. I'm sure there must be some bloopers, deleted scenes on some master-tapes .
The only thing we can do is nothing than to sit down and drink some tea..
btw: A short pre-announcement: In the near future I'll open a blog for MWC where I'll post news, stories, background infos, personal thoughts....
