I wonder if Al only insulted the teacher because it happened to be the substitute he saw.

It would have been highly interesting to see if he would have attacked Ms. McGowan the same way. (Did he go imto the classroom thinking differently?)

Apparently Charlotte Ross (Darlene in this episode) auditoned for the Kelly Bundy role... or so Wikipedia says. This is the first I've heard about this!
