:) Yupp, great find, Marriedaniac! I've run across a lot of people who were afraid of ALF when they were kids. Since you love sitcoms so much, you reeeeeeally need to watch ALF again. It's a great show, I'm sure you'll enjoy it knowing what other sitcoms you're into.

I'm tracking down the pilot as I type. Good a place to start as any!

The Pilot is actually my all-time favorite episode of ALF, some of it is for nostalgic reasons, I suppose. But it's a damn fine episode. Absolutey hilarious. Enjoy!

One for you, Shoe Dick: Ted McGinley in an episode of Breaking In (a show that didn't last long last season)

Is that for real? If so, I'd love to add it to the references section.

Of course. His character was kind of shady, but I can't remember the specifics.
It's episode 1x04 "White on White on White".

Oh, it's a new show then? Damn, the writer/producer/director of the show must be an ALF fan with that nod to the show! :)

It's recent, but like I said it didn't last that long. Although someone on TV.com said it was renewed for season 2 (odd when it barely aired half the first season.)

I was in grammar school at the time when ALF first aired and what i can say that it was very huge at the time in germany. I had it all: cassettes, Posters, Shirts, Sticker Albums… there was A LOT of Merchandising for this show. But, this increased very fast because of the weak seasons 3&4 and around 1990-1991, it was all over as i remember.

Project Alf was even in cinemas in germany, but i think it sucked :?

I had a lot of stuff too. I had no idea it showed in the movie theatres! I don't see the appeal.

On my information, „Project Alf“ was shown only in Theaters in Germany (as „Alf: Der Film“). In other countries, it was a direct-to-Video Production.

Not only Andrea, as I mentioned in an other thread:

I found some other actors...

From the sitcom "Alf"

As mentioned by Shoe Dick in the episode's "Rock and Roll Girl" Thread, Josh Blake, who played "Jake Ochmonek" is the guitarist of the "Gutter Cats"
And, Andrea Elson, who played "Lynn Tanner" on Alf, is one of the brides maides in the "Wedding Show".
As i mentioned in the "How did i love thee" tread, David Leisure played the booking man "Nick "The Fish" Mints" in Alf, and also a TV executive which office gets completely stripped down as Alf fakes TV rates for his favorite show "Polka Jamboree"

And, there is more: Beverly Archer, who played "Mrs. Byrd" in Alf's "Somebody watch over me Part 1-2" is also Bud's Boss in the "Virgin Hotline" and trying to sue Bud when he masturbates in High School :D
