Anyone else annoyed at these stupid questions people over at IMDb ask about the show? Questions that just makes you wonder why they even bother watching the show. I'll get the ball rolling with two examples:
You know you don't *get* MWC when you seriously ask...
1. Why Al doesn't think Peg is sexy and wonder why Al doesn't want to sleep with her
2- How Al can afford his house and support his family when they always say he makes so little money as a shoe salesman

Yes, but you have these stupid questions on all series/films - so I don't mind them (or let's better say I do not read them

Yeah, I agree, but it stands out more when it comes to MWC because unlike some movies, you're not supposed to critically think/question things about the show. Just run with it and come up with an excuse as outlandish as the show yourself. It's like asking how Van Damme can get up in a fight in one of his movies despite the fact that he's been kicked in the head 4682 times during the fight.

I know what you mean - it's fiction/scripted, not real life - so what they are asking makes no sense.

Exactly. I can understand critical thinking for serious dramas/thrillers etc, but this is something different.

Ans # 1 Peg is still fertile and Al is being careful.
Ans # 2 Al has learned to use his own method of Birth Control (Biguns)
Ans # 3 Al Has had Sex with Peg three times and has regrets.
Ans # 4 Viagra has not been invented yet.
2- How Al can afford his house and support his family when they always say he makes so little money as a shoe salesman
Ans # 1 Al is always Broke because of Payroll Deductions.. He never sees his total income... Neither has Peg.
Ans # 2 Al lies about his income... He is saving for a solo trip to Africa.
Not even the producers know this.... but I do.

He doesn't divorce her, I think, because he loves his family...u know how he lets it be known in little ways.

Hi Marriedaniac,
Sometimes I wonder if Amanda was forced over the line to being gay after a few years of watching
Al act like a husband who was not attracted to Peg or her body..
Remember the episode where Jefferson and Marcy dressed up and acted like Al and Peg
when they looked after their house? It really showed acting skills.
That one was one of my favorites.
Marcy may also be gay... after all she married a Girlieman

I personally think Marcy stays just to spite Al. She is determined to beat him at his own game, and moving would be admitting defeat.

Marcy and Al are so much alike (espeically when Steve lost his job and when she was married Jefferson) so they probably both fear change.
