Just finished watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I really liked it, Paul Newman and Robert Redford worked absolutely great alongside each other, their chemistry were off the charts! I love how it was more like a western comedy than a straight up western. I was laughing as much as I was drawn into the gunfights and action. The scenes where they were chased for two straight days was my favorite part in the movie, the tension was pretty high at times, but they still made us laugh to relief some of it.
It was very original in how they incorporated the music and slideshows in the movie, it was kind of random, but I liked it. I felt the ending was pretty abrupt. I'm not talking about the very last scene, which I was fully aware of after so many references to it, more like the last 5-10 minutes. It didn't quite feel like it should have been over so fast. Somewhat anticlimactic, I guess.
Not one of the best westerns I've ever seen, but it's definitely very good. I enjoyed Hondo more, but that's not taking anything away from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Here is a snap I took, much like the Hondo one:
