That's a bunch of holy crap-moments in one thread! He made Red Lobster commercials as well? That's quite a coincidence. If you haven't seen Ford Fairlane yet, you really should. It's a great movie and a very, very different role for Ed, who is hilarious in it.

I had no idea that Ed & Katey were on Hollywood squares together, and so early in the show's run. Did Katey walk off halfway through, or did I misunderstand?

I've seen Ford Fairlane starring Ed's moustache. Booty time! Booty time!

In 1987 they did whatever they could to get people to watch the show. Read the info in the youtube clips; Brett Butler said something like Katey got sick of it and left Ed to do the show alone mid-week. I remember reading something else that said "she just walked off and it was cool!"
When Katey was on Joan Rivers' show over a year later (Rakolta time), the appearance was mentioned, but not the alledged walking out:
"You were on Hollywood Squares with me about a year ago,"
"uh-huh"
"and they had to explain who you were... and now look at you."

Oh ok, I thought you meant she left Ed there all alone in one of the breaks or something. Wow, must be REALLY boring if se just decided to drop out and let Ed do the work, don't you think? I mean she's not known as a diva or anything, so she really must have felt strong about that.

Don't know for sure, would love to get the full week's episodes. She's not a diva, I guess she really didn't like it
