I was worried when I heard this was going to be "remade", but it seems it's more of a reboot/continuation, with the Griswald son now grown up. Could be fun..

Will watch this, just sad that Chevy doesn't have a bigger part.

LOL, doubt it. Have you read anything about Randy Quiad over the past few years?

He didn't look too good in the last photo I saw, but you know, give him a shower and a shave….

It's more than that. Google him and read about his problems over the past few years.

i loathe remakes and i was so upset to see that they were doing this again, especially with the same name "vacation". i have to admit though that i really enjoyed this movie. it's not a remake but a new film trying to capitalize on a successful franchise. that being said there were a lot of laughs. the opening credits were hilarious with the vacation photos. the first scene i had to pause because i laughed so hard was of course the one with christina applegate doing the obstacle course. i'm not usually a fan of slapstick but when she jumped and landed bad i was in tears because it was so funny. truth be told chris helsworth really stole the show with every scene and i also really enjoyed skyler gisondo's scenes too.

I enjoyed it enough. I like the Kiss From A Rose motif (with a pay off in the closing credits). And that they went meta with their 'redo this vacation' comments.
