Another idea I have in mind

Since the Al Bundy Wiki was not that kind of success I have another idea.

If I find enough people that have the will, the time and the basic knowledge of "web-experience/conputer-experience" - I would be glad to "integrate" a CMS (content management system) to the Al Bundy Site.
That would have the advantage that you could edit the content of the site, keeping it up to date, adding new pages and new content without knowing anything about HTML, Design or so on.

So if you are willing to help and you think that you will be able to handle a cms and are not afraid of some new things please let me know.

Find attached a few screenshots how editing stuff will be like.

So it'd be basically like wikipedia without all the symbol junk you have to put around what you're writing?

It's for editing a bit easier but you have far more options.
And overall there is a navigation (like it is now) - new pages will appear there as soon as you create them and you have nothing to know about HTML or such things.
So if you create a new page in the secton actors - it will appear there in the menu as well.

Well that sounds better, it won't take a hundred years to set up one article.

It is, but since it takes some time to set it up, I'll do it only if I find some people helping me, keeping the content up. Making albundy.net a bit more up2date.

Well guys I see... a lot of response here :)
So I think that idea was not the best... so I have to think about another plan to keep the content of the site more up to date.

But if anyone likes the idea please let me know (the idea is not dead yet  )

I like the idea, I'm just not entirely certain on how it all works. :)

Okay, forgett "how" it works.
If you are willing - it is enought. I'll write tutorials. And I have to say, that just the plain editing is realy easy (Login - search site - click on "pencil" - write the changes - click on save).

If I find there some willing people I'll set up a sample site (so that you can make yourself a picture of the system).

Just another questions that crossed my mind:
Does anyone want to have the rights to post in the blog?

I just found out that it already exists over 6 years now and that it has over 300 visitors a day (the site itself has over 1.000 a day).
So it's perfect to spread some news about MWC of to post some other great stuff you have.

It's very easy - so if you want to help me out there or take a look what it looks like just send me a PN.

btw: Moving the site itself to a content management system is on the way...
