Sam Kinison ALONE gives this episode a 5, add the brilliance of the script written by Leavitt & Moye and that we see Ted McGinley for the first time ever in MWC history, and we have one of the best episodes ever of MWC.

This made me miss Jefferson a lot, I have to buy season 5 soon!

Nothing too add to that!

Ich gebe der Episode auch 5 Punkte
Aber auch wenn Al nicht gelebt hätte, würden sie in dem Haus leben, mit der selben Couch

Holy crap, your Mrs rocks! Nice plate.

Oh yeah, the votes (all 5s) prove this episode's classic status. :D

Holy crap, Dr. Shoe! I must have missed your post in this thread, or I would have replied sooner. Your Mrs rocks, as marriedaniac said. I wish my girlfriend would do something like that for me :(

Yeah, its cool you know how you kind of forget about favorite Christmas decorations till you take em out of the box to decorate each year? This is one of those for me now.

I want to do a similar thing with a cofee tablee or something - just cover it with pictures and veneer it and whatnot.

I was watching this last night and I noticed that for a few frames at least all the Christmas lights come on, except the one right behind al which is missing a bulb, then the shot cuts to Sam and when it goes back to Al there's a bulb. Just FYI.

Also the snow on Al's hair varies dramatically.

If you compare scenes in this to the scenes featured in My Favorite Married, there's a lot of differences. Different takes used, or something.

I watched these today...if I'm not mistaken the little book that Sam K. looks in to reference Al's ulcer-ridden future is the Christmas Club bank book from episode 1.

I had to go back and check. Al's bank book is much thinner and has a logo on the front.

Just reminded myself I should (because I have no life) put together some scenes of the different 'versions' of this episode - the scenes seen in My Favorite Married compared to the normal re-run two-parter, combined with the full length/uncut/VHS episode as a whole.

Whoa, whoa. Slow that down...are you saying there are extra scenes in My Favorite Married?

Not extra scenes, but different takes.
Confusing to explain in short but there's the full length VHS version, and an edited (for commercials and credits) two-parter version depending on which station/country airs it. Then when you see highlights in the MFM special, some of the scenes (with Kinison) are different. As I said upthread, follow the snow on the back of Al's head.

I completely agree with that...but, i have to say that i felt sorry back in the time, that Steve was definitely gone from the show.
