Hey Axel, I'm pleased to read that you like Budweiser. It is brewed in my hometown (the World Headquarters), St. Louis, Missouri or as Kelly would call it "Street Louis." And in your defense did you know that Al Bundy likes it too? That's right, there is an episode where Al sings to himself "I'm a Bud man and a Cub fan...."

I actually had no idea :) I'm not a big beer-drinker, Budweiser is the only beer I buy when I plan to get hammered.

Oh and there are quite a few times where Bud makes comments like "You know what you need babe? A nice cool Bud." Yes and "Nothing beats a Bud." Beer ad references.

That I am very familiar with though. Were there commercials with that kind of slogan in the states?

Oh man, they never end. That one episode in season 7 I think where Al is fighting the beer tax, he uses a bunch of them.

I guess it wouldn't be obvious if you hadn't seen the commercials before. Like for example in the beer tax episode, the man asks Al "Hey mister would like to watch our movie, The Story of Beer?" Al replies "Why ask why?" A beer ad reference. The commercial asked, "Why ask why? Try Bud Dry."
