Al Bundy makes it clear with all his references and jokes about French people and France.

I see some French people on here, just curious on what yall thought of that. Doesn't anger you?

Check this out, this was created by Al Bundy

"NO MA'AM (National Organization of Men Against Amazonian MasterHood) Created by Al Bundy to prevent the world domination by overzealous women, and to fight for the rights of the average man...The 9 Commandments handed down to Al are the following: --1.) It is O.K. to call hooters 'knockers' and sometimes snack trays --2.) It is wrong to be French --3.) It is O.K. to put all bad people in a giant meat grinder --4.) Lawyers, see rule .3. --5.) It is O.K. to drive a gas guzzler if it helps you get babes --6.) Everyone should car pool but me. --7.) Bring back the word 'stewardesses --8.) Synchronized swimming is not a sport --9.) Mud wrestling is a sport."

Let me explain something, cause Im reading everyones opinions and most of it is wrong.

Al Bundy didnt like French just as most Americans do not like French people or (france)

WHY?

Most Amercians see French people as rude, cowardly and most of all they see them as ungrateful (the wars the USA helped them in)

Im not speaking on my behalf, but of what is said of alot of Americans around me.

I can remember a eposide where Al Bundy says..."ran away like a scared french man from a cap gun"

AL Bundy is portrayed as a very "blue collared" "hard core American" that is patriotic.

It has nothing to do with being "stinking" or what not. That topic has never really came up from what Ive heard. If so, its been YEARS since Ive heard that.

I remember after September 11th 2001, ALL AMERICANS were pissed off at France over something. I think it was something or another to do with France being the only or one of the few that wouldnt help out or support what was going on. (NATO) they stared calling "french fries" "freedom fries" they wanted to boycott or something the French products if I remember right. France did someting to piss off the US, I cant remember just what it was. USA feels like they did France a big favor back in the World Wars and that France turned around and despised them for it, or was very ungrateful.

Anyways, dont hate me. Im just telling you what I know. I also get very often from freinds and coworkers. That they go to France for vacation and that the French people are extremly rude towards Americans.

All the talk about why Al Bundy hates the french in my opinion is more or less wrong. One person kinda was right, but didn't get it all.

Many Americans do not like the French. Now though Im an American Im not referring to myself. Many characters on tv shows have showed there dislike for France. I can remember Al saying... "like a Frenchmen running from a cap gun"

He is referring to the French as being cowards. Americans feel as thought the French have no respect for Americans. And of all the good things the United States did for France back in the day (War) and they feel like the French are ungrateful. They feel like they are cowards too. Couldn't fend for themselves but relied on the USA to help them, but then showed disrespect towards them.

I hear this all the time over here. I have freinds and coworkers that have been there and say all the time, "The french people were so rude, I can tell they dont like Americans"

I also remember how everyone over here stopped saying "french fries" started calling them "freedom fries" dont remember exactly why, but it had to do after 911 and something that France did. ( I think they were the only one, or the few that wouldn't help out )

anyways, so take if from me, a fellow American. Al is suppose to be the the empidomy of a "blue collar American" kinda or alot I should say PATROTIC for the USA.

Why did you post nearly the same twice? O_o

I don't want to make a political topic out of this..
BUT!

You're right. The Americans helped France within the WW2 a lot.
But this has nothing to do with war against coutrys, which "got" nuclear weapons..
Till now there are NO weapons found..

I think, it's ok to say no..
The Americans have got a safe life.. the country is thounds of miles away from this shit, happening near to europe/asia..
So, if I was the French president, I would do the same!
For France, Russia & Germany it's best to get out of this war-shit..
Maybe you saw the terrorism attacks against London and Madrid in the news..

Next is, that MWC was till 1997 and there was no 9/11
So, this is not the problem that Al has got with the French ;)

I think the writers of MWC only wanted to show, that Al is an real (like you said) patriot..
He loves his country..

I wasnt trying to post twice, apparently I had two windows open, I posted and flipped over by accident to the other window and saw no post.

anyways, I wasnt trying to start anything politcal either. Just giving examples of why Americans (Al Bundy) do not like the French. It has nothing to do with the "smell" factor
