The most referenced film in MWC?

Post by Dr. Shoe » Sat Sep 29, 2012 2:09 pm

We watched the first half of Gone With The Wind last night...and naturally it makes all who watch it think of Married...with Children.

But I started thinking, is it the most referenced film (in terms of number of episodes it is referenced in) be it directly or indirectly in the entire series? I can think of at least 3 references. Maybe Hondo matches it or beats it.

It is certainly a contender!
It's hard to say what the most referenced movie is, because the number of TV shows referenced far outweighs them. (especially Gilligan's Island and Star Trek)

Bundyology has three GWTW references here:

and I can think of two more (0516 & 0826). But it looks like The Wizard of Oz might have it beat.

Whenever anything remotely connected to MWC comes up I think of it! My wife always rolls her eyes cause she knows what I'm thinking about...which means she's also made the connection to MWC!

I just noticed that in the book section Final Exit and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea aren't on there.

The challenge is to NOT think about MWC when watching something else.
